My name is Scott Zimmerman. This is a website for books I write, youtube videos I create, and more . . .

At present, I'm finishing up my second novel. It's called Lake Zoe, and it's about a conscious lake. Although you can't buy it yet, you can buy my first novel! Here is the description:

Milkshakes and Gamma Rays is a humorous tale centered around a dramatic week in the lives of Brie Gable and her spirited new friend Naomi "Star Flower" Minami who lands them both in awkward and uncomfortable situations. They are intelligent, opinionated high school juniors who divide their free time between chilling out, flirting with trouble, and philosophizing about the issues of the day. Each is a new transfer student to St. Margaret's, a private school in California. They are living in present day America, but in a divergent timeline, where public education has been eliminated, there's a civil war in Nevada, privacy is on the decline, peculiar brands of moralism are taking hold, and things are getting a little crazy all around.

The book is a bit over 50,000 words long, and contains occasional adult language. Buy it on amazon.com

Treasures from a Supernova is my foray into video game publishing! The core game idea is simple. You go around and collect treasures to score points. I know. How original! But, it's set on another world. You can, for instance, ride hovercrafts which are sort of like Star Wars landspeeders. Basically it is really nerdy. If you like sci-fi, you should check it out. Hypothetically, the game is a competition, but since the game is not yet popular, and may never be, you may have to content yourself with solo play. (Or invite your friends!) You can play it for free on a site called Roblox, which although it has a juvenile reputation, also has powerful technical abilities. Play it on Roblox!

I flocked to Pale Waves again. The delightful Kailee Morgue opened as she did in San Diego some months back. Unfortunately and I guess not unsurprisingly as life is filled with unceasing tragedies, my Pale Waves footage came out not so great--terrible, to be honest--but the Kailee Morgue footage is movie star fantastic! It was a fun night. The indoor stage at Pappy and Harriet's is only a few inches high so that makes for intimate shows. Heather Baron-Gracie moshed with the crowd. Recorded April 20, 2019. The video runs 5:59

The Drums at the Glass House in Pomona, California was one of the most epic of epic shows. I re-visited my clips and put this together. Recorded March 8, 2017. The video runs 5:30

Another one from the archives... L.A.vation, the U2 Tribute band performing May 4, 2017 outdoors in Palm Desert, California. Let me tell you some of the advantages of this show over a real U2 show. 1) This one happened to be free. 2) No dumb security to go through. 3) No $50 for parking, as it was also free. 4) No hours long traffic jam. 5) If you wanted to go right up to the stage, you could. 6) You could bring your own food, and there were food trucks... Hurray for cover bands and free shows in the park! The video runs 17:16

I have scoured the archives and made another video: Le Butcherettes at Pappy and Harriet's Pioneertown Palace. May 11, 2017. As you will see, I was very close to the stage, like practically on top of it. The video runs 5:14.

I'm a big fan of Pale Waves. They're my #3 most scrobbled band all time on last.fm, but I have only now for the first time checked them out live! What a poseur, huh? Anyway, they played at the Irenic in San Diego. They were great great great. The lighting, however, was not. The two openers were Kailee Morgue and the Candescents, but my footage of them was really dark, so this is just Pale Waves. Shot December 7, 2018. The video runs 4:23.
